FabLittleBag Wins Small Business of the Year at London Business Awards 2026
London Business Awards 2026
Small Business of the Year
Awarded to The FabBag Company, the team behind FabLittleBag
We are thrilled to share that The FabBag Company has been named Small Business of the Year at the Central London Alliance London Business Awards 2026.
The awards were held on the evening of Wednesday 14 October 2026 at Tower Suites by Blue Orchid, high above the City of London. Our founder, inventor and CEO, Martha Silcott, went up to collect the award on behalf of the whole team, and on behalf of everyone who has ever backed a small idea that started in a cubicle with no bin.
“The Central London Alliance is a unique organisation, born out of a desire to ensure that London thrives, as well as giving back to disadvantaged communities across this great city. It is an honour for The FabBag Company to be recognised as Small Business of the Year by such a prestigious and impactful organisation.”

A night to remember
An awards evening is not usually the place you expect to talk about tampons. But this one was different. Guests got a proper close look at FabLittleBag, and we made sure the venue practised what we preach: FabLittleBag dispensers were installed in the washrooms at Tower Suites for the night, so everyone attending had a clean, dignified way to dispose of period products.
It felt fitting. The whole point of FabLittleBag is that nobody should be left wondering what to do with a used tampon or pad, and being able to show that in action, in a room full of London's business community, was a moment we will not forget in a hurry.
Why this one means so much
FabLittleBag began with a very ordinary, very awkward moment. At a friend's dinner party, Martha needed to change her tampon and found there was no bin in the bathroom. She ended up wrapping it in toilet roll and carrying it out in her handbag. That evening sparked a question: why is there no simple, discreet way to deal with this?
The answer became FabLittleBag: an opaque, sealable disposal bag that opens with one hand and keeps tampons, pads and liners out of the toilet and out of our sewers and seas. Our bags are made mostly from plants, and today the same thinking sits behind HyGeeni, our range for continence, stoma and personal care.
Being named Small Business of the Year is recognition for that idea, and for the years of work it has taken to get it into handbags, homes, workplaces, universities, stadiums and sports clubs. It is also recognition for the Period Supportive movement, and for every organisation that has chosen to make its washrooms better for the people who use them.
Thank you
Small businesses are built by lots of people, and this award belongs to all of you:
- Our customers, who have told friends, family and colleagues about FabLittleBag and HyGeeni, and kept us going.
- Our Period Supportive partners, the workplaces, universities, venues and sports clubs that have put FabLittleBag in their washrooms.
- The Central London Alliance, for organising the awards and championing London's businesses.
- Blue Orchid Hospitality, our hosts at Tower Suites, and supporting partner Book It Please.
- Our team, who have put in the hours behind the scenes to get us here.
